FOX Architects team with Vornado to create the spec suite of the future by Juli Sproules

FOX was invited to build a prototype spec suite in an otherwise unassuming office building in Crystal City - one of the many recently vacated by government tenants. Challenged with creating a workplace that was an innovative, smart & flexible, the design focuses on collaboration (both within the office & with other locations) and flexibility - ideal for start-ups & satellite offices.

Be sure to check out FOX's contribution to Vornado's DesignLab contest. Click away for some of the press!

And here it is, folks ... the best explanation of our profession I've heard yet, from Gem Barton, over at Archetizer ...

An interior architect with good training can fully appreciate and instigate the passage of utility and human interaction through studies, charts, and mapping, making precise predictions and choreographing the light, the access, and the materiality to achieve the desired goals.
