For its first upgrade in over 30 years, the Eiffel Tower is adding wind turbines! This is big news for people interested in how historic spaces can also be big players in upping their sustainable game. While these wind turbines don't produce a ton of electricity, it's a huge step forward in thinking about these historic monuments & how they can be incorporated into the modern world. FOX was honored with the Pinnacle Award at the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Premiere awards last night!
This project was a great collaboration with many teams internal & external, with special attention for FOX's incredible in-house graphic design team. They are experts in creating a holistic branded experience & applying it to & embedding it within the physical structures. It's a wonderful collaborative & integrated process & result.
It's wonderful to see Christian Sottile - a mentor (and hero, really) of mine in graduate school & an all-around wonderful human being getting some much-deserved recognition. His designs are sensitive, intuitive and human.
