Nikole Nelson & I have known each other since our days at the illustrious Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), where we were roommates, friends and co-conspirators! Since then, Nikole & I have collaborated regularly, especially when she launched her New York City-based Nikole Nelson Studios. After moving back to her native Hawaii (she's from Maui), she took a chance to re-energize & re-brand her now-Honolulu-based enterprise to reflect both her urban NYC experience and her natural Hawaiian roots.
In focusing on collaboration, BLKCORAL brings together a unique blend of creative energies & vision; as well as specializing in both concept and creation. It really is a unique enterprise!
Thanks for checking it out!
For its first upgrade in over 30 years, the Eiffel Tower is adding wind turbines! This is big news for people interested in how historic spaces can also be big players in upping their sustainable game. While these wind turbines don't produce a ton of electricity, it's a huge step forward in thinking about these historic monuments & how they can be incorporated into the modern world. Also - check them out ... they are beautiful!
